Family Recipe Friday: Family Treasure

                                 Overnight Buns

                                        3 cups warm water
                              2 eggs
                              1 cup sugar
                              1/2 cup lard or shortening
                              1 Pkg yeast 1/2 cup water
                              7 cups flour

Flour for kneading about 2 cups. mix at about 4pm. Knead down every hour until bedtime. Shape into buns, cover loaf let rise overnight. Bake in the morning use 350 degree  to 375 degree oven.

Sarah Mills Hobrook born 15 Sep 1815 in Ogdensburg, New York, died 14 July 1862 in Evansville, WI her parents were: John W Holbrook born 12 June 1789 and died 1829 in Watertown, NY he married Sally Sarah Knapp. No further info on her. John's parents were Thomas Holbrook and Merebat How.

My x-Husband Brian Rowley who's my best friend by the way, LOL Has a little mystery with the following.      

John Patterson bor 30 June 1867 in Malto, Sweden Died 22 Aug 1930 in Lamoure County, North Dakota He married Ada Ryburn on 9 Oct 1907. She was born 10 Jan 1864 Fairmont, Nebraska, died 16 Feb 1966 Sacrmento, CA...

John's parents John Patterson born in Swden all the info we have on him...He married Caroline Peterson..The story is he had two families one here in America and one in Sweden and he took off and went back to Sweden. We have no proof of this however.

John Robertson was born 10 Mar 1804 in Kentucky (Where in Kentucky is still a mystery) he died 26 Feb 1876 in Washington, Iowa. Married Abigail Cowen (Her parents have yet to be found) She was born 13 Nov 1812 place unknown. Died 22 Jul 1838 in Kentucky.

Children: Mary Frances born 2 Feb 1832 in Kentucky, Married unkown Glenn, dau Zelda A Glenn born 1857 in Louisa, Iowa.

Rachel Ann born 5 Nov 1833 in Kentucky, died 1870 married William Lawrence Linn.

Hugh M born 13 Apr 1836 in Kentucky, died 12 July 1863 in Jackson, Mississippi 

Alexander Cowen born 1838 Kentucky, died 20 May 1896 Sioux City, Iowa, married Elizabeth Jane cavit 23 Dec 1868.

Where in Kentucky were they born??? Where's Abigail Cowen's parents???
