Jay Wallace Mullin: Murdered

Jay Wallace Mullin was born to Jesse Charles Mullin 1912-1997 and Beatrice Virginia Weatherly 1913-2003.

I found his college photo and information:

Texas Technological College in Lubbock, TX 1962

Bachelor of Science in Park Management; Alpha Phi Omega;

Horticulture Club; Aggie Club; BSO.

He would be in a horrific situation in January of 1974 while

Jay was working as a store clerk at the Jefferson Food Mart and was murdered during a robbery. Here's some newspaper articles.

Such a sad story and the Jones brothers families I am sure suffered as well. I am not a close relation to this line, I will post the connection below, but I felt it was important to tell his story and have it not only documented in my tree but here as well.

He did have several siblings two of his sisters may still be living so i wont post their names but he did have a brother named Charles Conrad Mullin who was born in 1941 and died in 2022. Both men were married and divorced.
