The Tower Family

My husband Brian Robert Rowley's Great Grandmother was a Tower.

When Mary Octavia Tower was born on March 24, 1853, in Watertown, New York, her father, David, was 35, and her mother, Sarah, was 37. She married Augustus Rodell Rowley on November 11, 1874, in Spring Valley, Minnesota. They had five children in 20 years. She died on March 5, 1939, in Bismarck, North Dakota, at the age of 85, and was buried there.

David Wells Tower


When David Wells Tower was born on April 12, 1817, in Mariposa, Ontario, Canada, his father, Isaac, was 17 and his mother, Desire, was 15. He married Sarah Mills Holbrook on July 14, 1862. They had nine children in 31 years. He died in December 1889 in Norfolk, Massachusetts, at the age of 72.

Isaac Tower was born, the son of Clarissa and Oswin. He had one son with Desire Calkins in 1817. He died on January 25, 1831, in Canada. Not much is known about Isaac, we have no birth date yet and why he was in Canada or when he married his wife, Desire Calkins

When Oswin Tower was born on January 6, 1789, in Chesterfield, Massachusetts, his father, Isaac, was 44 and his mother, Mary, was 36. He had one son with Clarissa Ludden. He died on July 9, 1857, in Williamsburg, Massachusetts, at the age of 68.  he married Clarissa Ludden.




When Isaac Tower was born on May 18, 1744, in Cohasset, Massachusetts, his father, Cornelius, was 43 and his mother, Hannah, was 31. He had one son with Mary Sprague in 1789. He died on March 7, 1826, in Chesterfield, Massachusetts, having lived a long life of 81 years.

Isaac Tower married Mary Sprague in Hingham, Massachusetts, on January 9, 1770, when he was 25 years old.

When the First Great Awakening spread throughout New England and Georgia during the mid-1700s, Isaac Tower was living in Cohasset, Massachusetts.


Cornelius Tower was born on February 5, 1701, in Cohasset, Massachusetts, the son of Hester  Canterbury and Isaac Tower. 
He had one son with Hannah Higgins in 1744. He died on December 2, 1759, in his hometown at the age of 58. married Hannah Higgins.


Isaac Tower was born, the son of Margaret and Ibrook. He had one son with Hester Canterbury in 1701. 

When Ibrook Tower was born in 1643 in Hingham, Massachusetts, his father, John, was 34 and his mother, Margaret, was 23. He had one son with Margaret Hardin. He died on November 22, 1732, in his hometown, having lived a long life of 89 years.

John Tower was born on May 14, 1609, in Hingham, Norfolk, England, the son of Dorothy and Robert. He had one son with Margaret Ibrook in 1643. He died on February 13, 1701, in Hingham, Massachusetts, at the impressive age of 91.

Publication of the King James Bible

John Tower SR. lived in England in 1611 when the Bible became more accessible to the public.

Robert Tower had one son with Dorothy Damon in 1609.
