Almira Palmiter Today's Honored Ancestor

My Aunt of wife of my 3rd great-grand Uncle, Yep you can get the chart out for that one....

Almira Palmiter was born 17 May 1811 and died 10 Apr 1862 in Alfred, NY

When Almira Palmiter was born on May 17, 1811, her father, Jonathan, was 30, and her mother, Margaret, was 22. She had five brothers and four sisters. She died on April 10, 1862, in Alfred, New York, at the age of 50.

I wonder what life was like in 1862, The Civil War was going on and one of her brothers joined. I do not know if she ever married but she did have 9 siblings.

The Seneca Falls Convention

The East Coast was a hotbed for the women’s movement in the United States during the mid-1800s, when Almira Palmiter lived in New York.

Northern Life in the Civil War

Almira Palmiter was in the North as the United States was torn apart by the American Civil War.
