I have been doing genealogy for 30 years. My Great Aunt Ella introduced me to this fascinating adventure when I was a teenager and boy did I get hooked. She inspired me and taught me the importance of my roots and where I came from. I am proud to be a genealogist.

William Montgomery Barnett born abt 1814 in Illnois, married Martha Polly Ann (Mary) Thompson born & died Illinois. The 1850 census for Randolph County, IL has William at age 56 and a farmer. It's the only document I have and this is all the information I have. So my mystery is finding his birth place in Illinois, his death and marriage information and his wife's. I would say the size of this brick wall I can not even climb and will some time to knock them bricks out of my way. But as a determined genealogist nothing will stand in my way way for long, I will climb over it, dig under it or find a way around it. My search will go on and I will find my pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.
